This week will be our regular committee workday with a little extra thrown in!
The "Mum" team(thank you Mitch and Anne) will be delivering the mums from Penrod's Nursery in Kearney at our Wednesday meeting. The funds raised by this project help sponsor our adopted apartment at Hillcrest Transitional Housing. Don't forget to bring your checkbooks!
September 22-24, 2023 will be Fall Festival and the Chamber of Commerce will again be using Rotary Plaza as their headquarters so don't be surprised to see lots of activity at our facility and don't forget to come down for the parade on Saturday 9/23 at 11am.
The next service project will be Trick or Treat downtown on 10/31/23 from 5-7pm at Rotary Plaza. Volunteer lists will be coming out next week. If you are not available to volunteer on the night of the event, we will need shoppers to get approximately 1,500 pieces of candy for the event!

Committee News: Administrative-Billing
-The finance committee has been very busy over the last several months working to simplify and organize the club's billing. Starting with the July 2023 bills you will receive two bills: one from the Club via ClubRunner for your club dues and meals, and one from the Club Foundation via Quickbooks for Happy $'s and Club Foundation donations. You will start receiving billing from both this month. Yes, you will now have to pay two bills but the back side money tracking for our two treasurers is much less complicated!
-If you have questions contact: Linda Hicks,Club Treasurer, or David Evans, Club Foundation Treasurer.
If you would like to update your billing options submit a new billing form.

In June 1999, a year after I joined the staff of Rotary International, I attended my first convention. It was then that I first witnessed the global power of Rotary and made my first batch of Rotary friends. And it was then that I was introduced to Singapore for a second time.
Join us in Singapore to connect with other Rotary members and discover new opportunities through Rotary.
