*The speaker this week is our very own Shawn Garland resident artist and owner of The Artisan Market. She is going fill us in about what is happening on the Liberty Art scene. There is lots happening June 11th that you won't want to miss out on!

* Once again we have no club sponsored service projects. We still have one more "pop-up" work day remaining for our District Grant Project at Ruth Moore Community Garden. When the crushed granite arrives a call will go out! In the meantime you can drive by the garden and check out the new signs. Click here for Garden Photo Album

* This weekend is Rotary International's Convention in Houston Tx. There are several D6040 Rotarians attending and we can look forward to a report on convention activities from them.

Committee Update: Service

Rotary Plaza will be a host venue for Make Music Liberty again this year on June 21st from 10am until 8pm. Make Music Liberty is a live, free musical celebration on Tuesday, June 21st. (The longest day of the year), with concerts in parks, retailers & streets across Liberty, MO.

We are still finalizing performers for Rotary Plaza so stay tuned for updates. We will need 1 or 2 Rotarians to be "hosts" during the day to make sure everyone has a good time. Not very taxing and a lot of fun. Volunteer lists will be coming out soon.

Committee Update: Administrative-PR

Did you know the club has a YouTube channel??? The original channel was created in 2013 and has several videos posted. Unfortunately we lost the ownership information for the channel so a new channel has been created named "Rotary Club of Liberty." All of the old videos can be viewed on the new channel and now we can add more! Anyone interested in becoming the Club Video Wizard?

FYI-in order to set up the channel the club had to create a google account so we also have an email address, RotaryClubLiberty@gmail.com, that is not being used at this time.
