'Healthy Mothers - Stronger Futures' - Help Provide Maternal Care in Africa

Welcome to Gelle Foundation a nonprofit organization based in United States of America committed to helping mothers and children access quality healthcare. We channel the funds we receive towards creating new hospitals and other amenities to further our mission.

Mother and child health care remains a puzzle in majority of communities in Ethiopia. study was conducted by BMC Public Health for community based cross-sectional from March 25 to April 24, 2017 in Dhamole on total of 402 study subjects who were selected by multi-stage sampling technique. In this study only 29.2% of women were assisted by Skilled Birth Attendance (SBA) during their child birth which means 70.8% don’t have access to skilled birth attendance, no birth preparedness and complication readiness status.

At Gelle Foundation, we believe that the responsibility of improving local community healthcare system lies within the community. As a movement of philanthropic individuals, we work to save lives of mothers and children by building mother and child hospitals, constructing wells, and orphanage centers.
