Make Music Liberty 2025

NO registration needed:  Just wander by and sit for awhile to enjoy the MUSIC!                  

A day of FREE LIVE music all around Liberty!     While you are in Historic Downtown Liberty be sure and visit the HDLI Farmer's Market from 8am - 12noon. 

8:00 AM   Strum  -Opening the Show: Strum is a local ukulele band established in 2014. They are all Northlanders and absolutely love sharing uke joy.

9:30 AM   Stilfield - Barge Duo -A Returning Favorite:  Pianist Bill Stilfield & Vocalist Laura Barge perform regularly at Johnnie's Jazz Bar and Grill and other venues including the Corbin Theater. The performance may also include harmonicist Phil Duncan who has authored over 40 books on various harmonica styles.

11:00 AM  Sawyer Lane Quartet  -A New Favorite:  The group is comprised of members of the Platte County High School Jazz Band. Sawyer Lane, the great grandson of Jack Colvin of The Jack Colvin Orchestra, created the group as an enduring legacy of Jack’s work. Pulling music from Jack’s trove of handwritten arrangements, the group honors the music of the big band era.

12:30 PM   Service Station  -Back Again:  A Christian rock band from Smithville Missouri. Formed in the summer of 2018 by members of the Grace Community church worship team. They released their first full length album “Fill Your Spirit” in 2022. Their mission is to spread the message of hope through music.

2:15 PM  Ronnie Richards  -New this year:  Ron learned to play fingerstyle guitar when he was about 12 years old. Moving to KC in 1993, he began to play guitar again and won a Kansas State First and Second Place Finger-picking award. His passion for fingerstyle led him to produce a couple of CDs, "The Pursuit", and "Acoustic Dreams". 

3:45 PM  HartBeat  -Another Returning Favorite to End the Day:  Local Kansas City group led by Mindy Hart, vocalist, doing classic rock and country.
