Tuesday 11-18 Speakers are Jim Schultz and Cindy Friend:

For six years Jim Schultz and Cindy Friend with a dedicated group of others (including Rotarians), have brought to Independence ambitious food drives to supply our local food pantries and community kitchens under the name of the Independence Hungry and Homeless Coalition.   Today, Tuesday November 18th, Jim and Cindy will bring us, appropriately, our Rotary Thanksgiving message.  Cindy Friend, a licensed registered nurse who  is retired from both the Independence Regional Health Center and Independence's Health Department, is the current chairman of the board for the Coalition. Jim Schultz, a past Independence City Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem, was instrumental in forming the Coalition six years ago.
