David R. Williams  Chief Executive Officer  Centerpoint Medical Center

David R. Williams has been the Chief Executive Officer of Centerpoint Medical Center since November 2012.   He has 31 years of healthcare administration experience, most recently as President and CEO of the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA.  David has served in leadership roles in five HCA facilities within the past 27 years.  Prior to serving as Rapides Regional Medical Center’s CEO, David served as CEO of HCA’s Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond, VA.

David holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Guilford College, Greensboro, NC, and a Master of Health Administration/Health System Management from Tulane University, School of Public Health and Topical Medicine in New Orleans, LA.

David has been very active in professional and community organizations, such as the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Heart Association and the Rotary Club.  David currently serves on the Boards of Truman Heartland Community, Truman Library Institute, Independence Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Council of Independence.

David and his wife, Beth, reside in Lee’s Summit, MO.  They have two children; Michael is working for an HCA hospital in Richmond and Claire is attending college at James Madison University in Virginia.
