Rotary Day for Polio Eradication
In 1985, there were over 1000 new cases of Polio reported every day in over 125 countries. That year, in Kansas City, at the Rotary International Convention, Rotary accepted the challenge of eradicating Polio from the earth. Thirty years later there have been only 22 reported cases in the first 3 months of this year in only three remaining endemic countries. The Rotary Club of Independence will celebrate that amazing achievement and rededicate to finish the remaining battle. Polio is going to be a distant memory on the third planet with a little help from you. Register for this event at www.end polio.info.
