Paulette is a veteran educator with 38 years of experience at the elementary level.  During her 31 years of teaching in the Independence, Missouri school district, she served in various offices for Missouri PTA on the local, district, and state level.  She and two fellow Independence School District teachers, Charlotte Ruoff and Kirk Arnold, co-founded Friends United in 1987.  Friends United is a nonprofit organization with a mission of striving to improve education in Honduras, Central America.
Paulette has served in various offices on the Friends United Board, and currently serves as president.  She has primarily been an educational seminar presenter for literacy and math seminars provided for PreK-6th grade teachers in Honduras.  Friends United has worked   with Rotary organizations in Missouri and in Honduras on the mission of improving education by providing teacher resource centers in six different cities in Honduras.  Most recently, Friends United worked with Rotary on a Global Grant, culminating in a Super Seminar for 96 Honduran teachers in January, 2015.  Friends United representatives and Rotary officers of Honduras continue working on completing this grant.  Paulette and husband, Bennie Eubanks, will be travelling to Honduras in January, 2016, with a team to open two more teacher resource centers in remote rural areas near the capital of Tegucigalpa.
Paulette and Bennie are retired and enjoy travelling, attending their grandchildren’s activities, and working with Rotary and Friends United on service projects both locally and in Latin America.
