Last week's speaker John Gill 7-15-14

John grew up in Richmond Missouri but currently makes his home in Kansas City with his wife Melanie.  John graduated from William Jewell College in 1979 with Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Economics.  He currently owns and manages his family’s large farm operation near Richmond and oversees oil and natural gas investments in Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado as well as other family businesses.

He has served as President of the Richmond Rotary club and on a variety of District 6040 Committees and served asDistrict Governor in 2009-2010.  Currently John serves Rotary as our District Foundation Chair and as President of the Show-Me Rotary Leadership Institute.  Outside of Rotary, John serves as an officer and director of several levee and drainage districts in northwest Missouri.  John also serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of William Jewell College. John likes all sports.  He will play some golf but John loves baseball.  John and Melanie have been season ticket holders for the Kansas City Royals since 1985. John and Melanie have two grown children.  Andrew lives in Richmond and works on the family farm.  Their daughter Emily is married to Grant Karr who live and work in downtown Kansas City.
