Implicit bias is part of being human and our species could not have survived without developing biases. Research has discovered that despite our best intentions we have deep seated resistance to the differences of others. Implicit biases can take the form of race, gender, physical appearance, personality type or sexual orientation. Recognizing, overcoming, and learning to avoid implicit biases in business interactions is essential to creating a strong and diverse workforce.

Join the KC Chamber and Henry E. Lyons, an implicit bias counselor, to learn the four steps people and businesses should take to manage unconscious biases.
