The Fort Saskatchewan Rotary Club is looking to engage youth in our community to improve our community and inspire positive change around the world. We want to establish an Interact Club for young leaders ages 12 – 18.  Interact is a FREE service club that benefits from the guidance and support of the sponsor Rotary Club. A parent and future Interactor information event is planned for Monday, December 4 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm at the Boys and Girls Club.

“Rotary believes that our youth are our future.  Interact clubs bring together young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self” states Tamara Dabels, Youth co-chair. “We are excited to be working in conjunction with the Boys and Girls Club on this initiative.  Which means the interact club is open to youth throughout the community.”

Interactors will discover:
  • How to take action to make a difference in our community
  • New cultures and promote international understanding
  • How to become a leader in our community
  • How to have fun and make new friends in our community and from around the world
Interact clubs organize at least two projects every year, one that helps their community and one that promotes international understanding. Rotary club sponsors mentor and guide Interactors as they carry out projects and develop leadership skills.

“Our club believes that Fort Saskatchewan is ready for an interact club that will join over 20,000 interact clubs around the world” states Colin Hobson, Youth co-chair. “We encourage youth ages 12 – 18 to join us with their parents on December 4 to find out more.”
