Today’s meeting was brought to us by Queen Annie and the Pub Crawl Kings, aka Ed Harrison’s team!

GUESS WHO’S COMING TO DINNER:  March 8th.   Signup sheets will be at meetings or you can contact Marge Remedios for details.  Have dinner with three or four other Rotarians and guests at a “Mystery Rotarians” home.  You don’t want to miss this fun event.

POKER:  Okay, it’s time to win this thing.  The annual Poker Tournament with Redding West Rotary is also March 8th, but it starts at 9 a.m. at the Casino Club.  All proceeds go back to the club.  There will be special training for the women of the club. Contact Randall Hempling for details.

CRAB FEED:  Thanks to all those who volunteered to serve drinks at the annual One Safe Place Crab Feed.

RECOGNITION:  Ed Harrison, world traveler, was off again on a vacation adventure.  This time it was a cruise on the Jewel of the Seas to the Southern Caribbean with a stop in Key West, Fl.  He paid $100 for the pleasure of travelling.

Theresa Muth went to Hawaii and paid $50 for taking along her 82 year old mom and 21 year old niece!  Her hotel room overlooked the 18th hole of the PGA Tour!

Full time motor home mechanic Mike Wells was honored for the recent merger of his North Valley Bank with Tri Counties Bank.  He paid $100.

STUDENTS OF THE MONTH:  Deontrey Fuller and Luke Page were honored as the Students of the Month from Liberty Christian.  Luke was unable to attend the meeting, but Deontrey is a 4.0 GPA scholar athlete who plays basketball and baseball and wants to attend Corbin University in a year and half to major in pre-med.  His goal is to become an orthopedic surgeon.

50/50:  The total is up to $298 of which Noel VanSlyke didn’t win.  He won a really cool top, handcrafted by our President Chris Carter and a free lunch though.

PRESENTATION:  Cecil “Pancho” Padilla was the guest speaker and was introduced by past District Director Laura Day (Yeah, hugs all around!) Pancho has been a Rotarian for 42 years and talked to the club about being a Rotarian versus being in Rotary.  His message is to give back and serve others.  He has been to 73 countries and on many service trips for Rotary.

GIFT:  Won by a guest!
