Dear Fellow Rotarians,
I am SO EXCITED to share that we believe Redding East Rotary will be able to meet IN PERSON for a safe, all-club meeting on Veterans Day, Wed. Nov. 11, 2020! (We will try to have Zoom going for those who aren't able to attend in person - and if it rains, we will all Zoom instead.)
Team Two, Deuces Wild, is proud to honor our veterans with a very special program at the outdoor Amphitheater in Paul Bunyan's Forest Camp at Turtle Bay Exploration Park. It seats 250+ so we'll have room to spread out comfortably & appropriately. We will meet at our typical time - Wed. noon to 1 pm-ish. But if you can plan to stay a bit longer, that'd be great!
Our speaker will be driving all the way from Newport Beach just to meet with our club! Clearly Jonna Doolittle Hoppes know we are the BEST. CLUB. EVER.!!! :) And I know she loves to hang around after her program and hear directly from veterans about their own military experience!
Jonna will share the story of her grandfather -- World War II hero Gen. Jimmy Doolittle, best known for the Tokyo Raid, and also one of the principal founders of commercial aviation!!!
