Preparing a Meal at the Hope Mission ~ Full

I am happy to announce that Hope Mission is once again accepting volunteers for Meals Service. 

I have booked us in for the following date:

Date:  Saturday April 30
Time: 10:00 to 12:30 pm
Address:  9908 106 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5H 0N6
Number of Volunteers: 9

Meal Service Volunteer Duties:

• meal preparation (washing, cutting vegetables, etc.)
• meal set-up (putting food in trays, setting up the coffee station, etc.)
• serving the meal, serving drinks/coffee
• clean-up (wiping tables and chairs, putting chairs on top of tables, sweeping kitchen floor, washing and drying trays, etc.)

Volunteers must be in good health and not showing symptoms related to COVID-19 (cough, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, or sore throat) and must not be a confirmed close contact of anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days

Before your shift begins, we will check your temperature and you will be asked to fill in a short health survey.

PPE is required and mandatory to serve in this role. Please remember that our guests are often more vulnerable to any illness, especially COVID-19, as they are experiencing complex and chronic health issues associated with poor housing and homelessness and can be immunocompromised. For this reason, staff and volunteers are required to continue wearing PPE at this time while serving at Hope Mission. We are unable to provide exceptions.
