Spaghetti Smiles at awacis waciston!
Twice a year, our awesome Rotary Edmonton Urban Spirits crew rolls up their sleeves and heads to awacis waciston School for a super special spaghetti dinner. Get ready for a heartwarming story that'll leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside (and maybe a little hungry!).
A Feast for the Community
Imagine this: 12 enthusiastic volunteers, armed with pots, pans, and plenty of smiles, ready to serve over 200 hungry students, their families, and the amazing teachers at awacis waciston School. That's exactly what happened at our latest spaghetti dinner! We're talking mountains of delicious spaghetti, savory tomato sauce, and all the fixings. Thanks to the incredibly generous donations from the Italian Centre Shop, we were able to create a truly memorable meal for everyone.
More Than Just Spaghetti
It's not just about the food, though. It's about community. It's about sharing laughter, connecting with new friends, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Seeing the smiles on the kids' faces as they dug into their plates was absolutely priceless! We had volunteers helping with everything from setting up tables to serving up heaps of pasta, and even cleaning up afterwards. Everyone pitched in, making it a true team effort.
A Big Thank You!
A huge shoutout to all the volunteers who made this event possible! Your hard work and dedication mean the world to us and to the awacis waciston community. And of course, a massive thank you to the Italian Centre Shop for their incredible generosity.
