Bill Lewis is a board member of Melbourne Market which is Victoria’s wholesale fruit, vegetable and cut flower trading centre, one of six central fresh produce markets in Australia.

Operating from a new purpose built facility on a 60-hectare site at Epping, the Market provides the critical link between growers, wholesalers, retailers and the fresh produce supply chain. More than 4,000 businesses use the Market as a base, buying and selling fresh produce in the early hours of the morning for distribution across Victoria and Australia.

Bill has recently been a Director of The Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology. He is a consultant in the agri-food industry, having been involved in the management of a number of large scale, major brand food companies, handling fruit, vegetables and milk for the Australian and international market.

He has considerable experience in risk management, logistics, workplace and food safety as well as major projects including relocation, new technologies, in a culturally diverse environment.
