Ten students from Tipaskan Elementary School travelled to Nordegg to hike and learn about nature, geology and power generation.
 
Seven girls and three boys from grades five and six were chosen for their enthusiasm and participation in school events to spend a weekend in the mountains learning a little more about their surroundings and how Albertans enjoy the power of nature everyday. Two teachers accompanied Al Sibilo and Dan Hardie with the syudents to Shundra Creek Hostel just outside of Nordegg, AB and participated in a hikes up to Crescent Falls  on Saturday and then Siffleur Falls on Sunday. On the way home we passed through Drayton Valley and travelled past the coal and power generation stations at Lake Wabanum.Image
