Marcia Kostelyk, RN, BN a co-founder and active leader of Insulin for Life Canada (www.insulinforlifecanada.org) during our luncheon meeting.

Insulin for Life Canada IFLC is a not for profit organization that collects and distributes unused and no longer needed glucose test strips, insulin and syringes which would otherwise be wasted in Canada and redistributes these valuable items to recognized organizations, in developing nations, with agreed distribution protocols.

As you may know, in less developed countries, a diagnosis of diabetes is often a death sentence because of the inability of families to pay for insulin. The actions of Insulin for Life, Canada is therefor saving lives.

IFLC is funded by private donations and operated by volunteers. Donations are used for packaging, distribution and office operations.
