Our Wednesday luncheon this week went on a road trip to the Emmanuel Foundation for International Community Development.
They exist to create hope for a better tomorrow for individuals, families and communities in developing countries. They have three main arms of service through which they seek to accomplish this: Playground Projects, Shipping Containers and Community Development Projects.
They act as the shipping arm for many Rotary projects: Playrounds, medical and educations shipments and other humanitarian initiatives that Rotary Clubs are involved with.
Executive Director Lyle Johnson briefed us all on the depth of their knowledge and involvement with getting materials around the world to assist the clubs projects and make a difference to the peoples receiving the materials.
