Lynn Wyton, Senior Advisor with Edmonton Explore (EE), presented a dynamic and compelling portrait of the visitor economy in the city along with plans for future developments. EE’s vision is that “Edmonton will be a global destination of choice, delivering year-round transformational visitor and guest experiences.”
Through strategic marketing campaigns and platforms, EE aims to increase year-round visitation creating a substantial economic impact that resonates throughout the local economy. Lynn identified key sectors including Indigenous tourism; sports and culture; business events; trade, investment and employment; and festivals. In his words, “The city has incredible stories to tell and it’s up to Edmontonians to shout them from the roof tops.”
