Today Ariana Vandervaate, marketing director from "Skip The Depot", shared a new, innovative fundraising option that more and more organizations are adopting. Skip The Depot will come to your home or business, pick up refundable items (bottles, clothing and electronics) and deposit proceeds into an account for an organization of your choice. Their management fee is 30%. The main service for most people is that it eliminates the need to go to a bottle depot to get your refund. Additionally, the will take other items that could be taken to the Eco-Stations (electronics) or might otherwise go the the landfill (used clothing that cannot be donated). By doing this, they are able to divert items from the landfill. A win-win for the donor and the environment.
