Metis Crossing is the only destination attraction in Canada, dedicated to showcasing Metis culture and heritage. Leon Boychuk Hunter, our speaker today, has been involved in this project for over 10 years - since the initial beginning of the development Metis Crossing. This is a world class facility, including conference facilities, accommodations and restaurants. But more importantly at the immersive "signature experiences" that allow the visitor to fully appreciate the Metis culture and history. This attraction is being promoted internationally, and international tourist groups are beginning to take notice. What a great get-away for Albertans, as this is only 1.5 hours northeast of Edmonton.
