Health Bridge International Run for the Health of It! 5 km event from 10am to 1pm in Victoria Park. Pre natal and post natal support in India. With your support, we are able to continuously ensure mothers and children receive quality health services, sanitation, education and safe practices. Funds raised will be shared between Health Bridge International and Rotary initiative. 5 kilometer is the average distance mother in Pakur must walk to reach a health centre.
What we've done ... During the last two years, we received over $400,000 in donations and these are some of the things we did with the money:
-We educated over 7,000 people on maternal and children health practices through street theatre and informational materials.
-We trained 1,135 Anganwadi workers on nutrition counseling and growth monitoring to identify malnourishedshed children.
-We trained 721 community health volunteers that provide counseling and health services to pregnant and post-partum mothers.
-We trained 609 Traditional Birth Attendants on clean and safe delivery practice.
