High School Model United Nations 2014 Update

For the past three years, the Riverview Rotary Club has partnered with the High School Model United Nations sponsored by UofA students. "Read more" to find out how you can participate.

Each year, about 500 high school students from Edmonton and northern Alberta participate. Additionally, members of our club have participated in the event – a truly enjoyable experience for all. Funds donated to this event help offset costs to attending youth to ensure financial accessibility.

We are welcome at all events, but three are particularly appropriate and interesting:

Thursday, Feb. 20 at 6:00 pm: Opening Ceremonies

Location: The Canadian Centre for Interdisciplinary Science 1-430, UofA.

Our club will be bringing greetings. Spouses and partners are most welcome.

Friday, Feb. 21 at 7:30 pm: Reception

This event replaces the banquet of previous years.

Location: Dinwoodie Lounge, SUB at UofA. The fee is $25 [Formal dress]. You can charge the reception fee against your Rotary account. Spouses and partners are most welcome.

Saturday, Feb. 22 at 2:00 pm: Closing Ceremonies

A club representative will be speaking. Spouses and partners are most welcome.
