This is an annual visit by the presiding District Governor where the Club Directors present the Club's project and endeavours.
Rotary District 5370 2019-2020 District Governor is Tracey Vavrek. Also present was Assistant Governor for Area 7, Marilyn Mucha and Vince Vavrek.
Tracey noted the importance of having the Club Bylaws uptodate and have current, the necessary background checks.
Each of the Directors presented the club projects.
Riverview Club President presented the new club logo and outlined some of the goals for the 2019 term.
These include; Strive to achieve Every Rotarian Every Year donations for Rotary Foundation, achieve the Rotary Citation, build on membership value, and support local and international projects.
Fundraising - Loralee Peaslee, Director
Scotch Mist will be held on May 5, 2020, at the Chateau Lacombe. This is a major fundraiser in support of inner-city schools and other club fundraising events.
International Service - Dean Wood, Director
The Ambulance and Fire Truck Project, The St Jud Maya School Refurbishing, Belize & Ukraine Playground Builds, Operation Esparaza championed by Dr. Tom Greidanus and EMUS, Uganda Clean Water Project, Sewing in Belize Project, HSMUN and more.
Youth Service - Dr. Roman Bayrock, Director
Developing a strong relationship with Cenntenial Interact Club, Roots for Trees, OFS Painting Project, Youth Empowerment & Support Services project and more.
Community Services - Leslie Cleary, Director
Operation Friendship Centre meal program, OFC Flowers project, InterCity Schools BBQ's and Dinners, Norwood Field Trip, Boyle Mccauley Women's Health Centre, Edmonton Food Bank and much more.
