Selfless work in Africa nets a Paul Harris Fellow

Guests at our club's meeting at the River Cree Resort & Casino were Dr. John and Marjorie Godel. Introduced by Dr. Zaheer Lakhani, Dr. Godel was presented with a Paul Harris Fellowship by Foundation Chair John Nypuik for his selfless extensive work in paediatrics education in Africa, especially in Nigeria and Uganda.

Dr. Godel has been an instrumental figure in initiating and building our East Africa Medical Project. For his vision, expertise, and dedication to humanity in this area we recognise Dr. Godel with a Paul Harris Fellow. Congratulations Dr. Godel. Also congratulations were in order for Dr. Godel and his wife as they recently celebrated their 55th! wedding anniversary. Had we have known, we could have treated them to one of the suites and some champagne from the Sage Dining Room.
