Deb Jack and Ken Saunders celebrated their birthdays this week. They were born the same week but in different decades.
Dave Dorcus conducted an unscramble the letters (ystar) contest for our fines this week. The questions were way too hard for us L.

We have 86 confirmed ticket sales to date and 3 of six VIP rooms are sold. We need help from all members to sell tickets.
Please canvass for silent auction items for Robust Reds. If we can get them in earlier it makes pat’s job way easier.

Gary Smith will be our representative on the Dreams Take Fight trip this year. Thanks Gary for stepping up. We need volunteers to come to the airport early in the morning to see the travellers off early in the morning on September 18.. It is a fun experience. Please consider coming out to help.

Elizabeth Bonkink was our speaker.
She talked about how ECF (Edmonton Community Foundation works and the value it offers to our community.
Donors work with Edmonton Community Foundation (ECF) to ensure their investments are set up for long-term growth. Endowment funds offer permanent investment of charitable gifts to provide ongoing support to organizations in the Edmonton community.
She encouraged all students or young people with community project plans to check out their website and see if they qualify for funding.
ECF is celebrating it’s 30 year anniversary.
Elizabeth also talked about the history of ecf building. (It started life as John McDougal’s home 1913).
