Overheard at Breakfast on January 15 2020
We had a pretty good turnout on a bitterly cold morning..
Elizabeth advised that the Potluck for Polio event scheduled for the evening of January 17, 2020 has been postponed. She will reschedule.
Coming up next month
On the 22nd we will be at McKay school it will include a tour of the Anne Frank exhibit
On the 29th we will be at the Center for Autism
Our speaker this week was our on David Keam. David lead a very good discussion of western alienation. We talked about the historical and economic reasons that there is real anger in Alberta about Alberta’s place in Confederation. We have members from both political camps.
Jamie Pallett, Judy Wilson and I attended a “speed mentor” event with the U of A Rotaract Club on Saturday the 18th. It was a great experience and we met some truly impressive young people.I suspect that we got more out of the event than the participating Rotaractors did. If they host another event I strongly recommend our members to participate.
