Another great virtual meeting this week. I counted 12 members on my screen.
This was a general meeting so we did not have speaker. Although we did not have a speaker you can always count on our group to have an interesting and spirited conversation. Always well worth your time.
I whined a bit about the hassle involved in moving my office and downsizing. That conversation turned into a discussion of disposition of artwork and, eventually the poor quality of Rotary historical records. You never know where a conversation will lead.
Elizabeth and Debra showed off their puppies. Elizabeth’s dg is only 3 months old and already 35 pounds.
We had a long discussion on the merits of our internet and cell phone providers. The number of people who complained about Shaw were roughly the same as the number complaining about Telus
Judy told us that the City is discontinuing land line phones for some employees. That prompted a discussion of cell phone reception and scam phone calls
Pat reported that;
  1. The Club Pat reported our Club delivered 400 more lunches to the Ivor Dent school
  2. Jamie is exploring an opportunity to provide lunches to another deserving schoo
  3. Our Casino has been postponed again. It is now scheduled for the 3rd ¼  of this year
Deb’s mom recently fell and broke her hip. Our thoughts out to her and we wish her a speedy recovery.
Congratulations to Steve Lambert. His daughter Breanne just made him a Grandpa again. His new granddaughter is Brynlee Nora Donnan and she was 6 lb 5 oz. Steve is now quarantining so he can meet her in person.
We ended our meeting with our weekly Covid rant.
For all you dog owners out there (and friends) we have scheduled a walk at Beuna Vista dog park (Lauier Park) for Sunday at 10 am. Please email me to let me if you can make it.
