I hope your club is doing well and are having a great Chinese New Year! As per-mentioned at your club meetings, the U of A Rotaract club will be hosting our second annual Rotaraction for Change fundraiser titled Rotaraction for Change: Project Youth on March 9th (7:00PM - 9:30PM) at the Edmonton Public School Archives and Museums (10425 99 Ave, Edmonton, AB T5K 0E5).
This year we have decided to support YESS (Youth Empowerment Support Services) in their initiative provide wraparound services to Edmonton youth ages 15-24 who are at risk or currently experiencing homelessness. Our event will follow a similar format to last year where we will educate attendees on what YESS does and the challenges faced by their clientele through interactive activities and games. The event will also include a cash bar, hor d'oeuvres, a raffle, a silent auction, and live music.
We hope that your club will be able to encourage your members to come have a night of fun and learning as you support a fantastic Edmonton based organization! Also, our club would appreciate any support that you may be able to offer in regards to securing silent auction items for the event.
Tickets are $30 for students (valid ID required, 18+) and $45 for the general public. These are available through Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/rotaraction-for-change-project-youth-tickets-55311563375) or in person from any University of Alberta Rotaract Club member at your club meetings! This event will be 18+ due to the cash bar.
