Our meeting on July 24th was well attended.
Our meeting start was delayed because of technical difficulties. (We needed extra time and expertise in order to set up our speaker’s video)
The breakfast we were served was somewhat disappointing. The Hotel had been on a pretty good run serving tasty meals but this was definitely a step backwards.
Our new president, Shannon, is somewhat soft spoken. The members this week were rather unruly and kept talking while he tried to start the meeting. I am sure we will do better next meeting.
Lorne Parker announced that he is making plans for a Club visit to Mozambique. More details to come.

Our sympathies to the family of our friend and past member Tom Lamont. Tom passed away on July 24. He was a good guy and he will be missed. A Celebration of Tom's life will be held at the Edmonton Scottish Society, 3105 - 101 St., Edmonton T6X 1A1 on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 3 p.m.
