Our meeting on July 10th was well attended.
Two of our members who had been absent for some time (Doug McEwan and Don Verbeke). It was great to have you back gentlemen.
This was our first meeting under Shannon’s presidency and he got off to a great start.
Pat Coyle was our fines master and he questioned us on Robust Reds trivia.did you know;
- This year will be our 13th year;
- Our partner is the Centre for Autism Services
- The biggest money maker for the Robust Reds event is our live auction;
- Our biggest expense is the food
We had the pleasure of meeting Javiera Khalid and her mother Isha. Javiera is a graduate from Harry Ainlee High school and one of our scholarship recipients.
Deb Jack, our Robust Reds committee chairman, gave a progress report;
- An introduction letter has been prepared to present to potential sponsors and donors. She has emailed a copy to all members;
- Trevor Mowberry has recruited IT staff from his company to assist with updating our website. She expects it to be operational soon
Dave Dorcus has booked 8 spots for persons to participate in a night time golf tournament on July 20, 2019 at Pineridge golf club. There are 4 spots not taken. Please let him no if you would like to participate.
Shannon announced that this year his board meetings will be held on the last Thursday of every month (except July). His next board meeting will be at the Faculty Club on August 1st. Pub night will follow at 6:00 pm.
