This week we were joined by Kathe Debenham and Melanie Elhafid from the U of A Rotaract Club. It was, as always, a pleasure having representatives from the University Rotaract Club join us.
Our next Casino will be at the Palace Casino at WEM on May 21 and May 22 2018. Mark has assumed the role of Casino coordinator for the Casino. He will be in touch with you to look for volunteers as the date gets closer.
Lionell reported that plans are underway for the next Winemaker Dinner. We need to identify a charity partner and volunteers to for the planning committee. If you have any suggestions for a charity partner please let Lionell know. If you can help please let Lionell know that you would like to participate on the committee.
Agnes is, once again, collecting socks (and donations) for the homeless. Please consider bringing a donation to the next meeting.
Elizabeth reported that our Club raised $1,500 for the Polio Plus campaign. Thank You to everyone who contributed.
David Dorcus gave us a brief update on the plans for a “Porcelain Prison” fundraiser campaign to raise funds for the Xia Xia bathroom project. The plan is to have 10 toilets set up on the runway at the Renaissance Hotel with 10 prominent personalities sitting on them. The goal is to raise $30,000.00.
Our Christmas Party will be on December 14. Please email Dave Dorcus and advise whether you will be attending.
