Overheard at Breakfast on January 24, 2018
- President Al opened the meeting with a tribute to Robbie Burns (his birthday was the following day – January 25) including a brief biography, a recitation of some of his poems and a rendition of one of his songs. Thanks Al it was very interesting and informative.
- Kathe Debenham from the U of A Rotaract Club joined us to talk about a fundraiser event that the Rotaract Club is hosting. It will be a fundraiser to fund several projects that the Rotaract Club is involved with in Nicaragua. The event will feature live entertainment, a silent auction and appetisers. It will be held March 2 at the Archives and Museum (Cindy’s place).
