Overheard at Breakfast on April 18, 2018
  1. President Al proclaimed that spring is here. We all hope he is right!!
  2. Dave Dorcus iwas not at the meeting he n cruising in Europe this week.
  3. Our Mustard seed meal preparation will be next Thursday,  April 26th 
    We will  not have a breakfast meeting next week. Our evening meeting will be at the Brewsters at Oliver Square after the Mustard Seed Dinner (7:00pm?)
  4. We need to recruit 2 or more people to replace Kylie as the Robust Reds Committee chair for the 2019 Robust Reds. The duties she has been carrying as chair include Social Media for the event, chairing the committee meetings, running the whole event. There is always wine and food at the committee meetings. Pleas e consider stepping up!
  5. Our condolences to Carolyn Meenchuk and her husband Craig on the passing of Craig’s dad.
  6. Cindy Davies was not at the meeting this week. She is recovering from surgery. Get better fast Buttons, we miss you;
  7. Just a reminder Our Casino will be on May 21 and 22. If you have not volunteered yet call Mark and get that done. Mark is still looking for volunteers for the count room
  8. The clubs in our Rotary district annuallyy present Integrity Awards to promote high ethical standards and  awareness of Rotary ideals. The purpose of these awards is to honour adult, non-Rotarian members of the community for their integrity as citizens. Our Club has Darrin Park to recognize at the awards dinner. Darrin is a EPSSB teacher on disability leave due to cancer challenges that he is facing. Darrin was an impressive teacher with Best teacher and APEGGAGA science teacher awards to his credit. He has also been actively involved with extra curricular events, community coaching, volunteering in his community . He volunteers with Santa’s Anonymous and the Terry Fox run. Please consider join us for this wonderful evening of celebration, food and fellowship at  Double Tree by Hilton (16615 109 Ave) on Wed, 2 May starting 5:30 PM. For tickets call Ken Saunders.
  9. Jamie Pallet did an excellent job collecting fines again this week Jamie reported that Lorne has picked up his school supplies and arrived in Maputo Mozambique to visit our school.
