Overheard at Breakfast on April 11, 2018
  1. We had decent attendance this week.
  2. The District 5370 Capital Region Rotary clubs annually present Integrity Awards to promote high ethical standards and raise awareness of Rotary ideals. The purpose of these awards is to honour adult, non-Rotarian members of the community for their integrity as citizens. Our Club has selected one such individual to recognize at the awards dinner. 2018 is the 21st year of The Capital Region's Rotary Integrity Awards. Please consider join us for this wonderful evening of celebration, food and fellowship at  Double Tree by Hilton (16615 109 Ave) onWed, 2 May starting 5:30 PM. For tickets call Ken Saunders;
  3. Our Casino will be on May 21 and 22. If you have not volunteered yet call Mark and get that done.
  4. Please take the time to support Pat Coyle’s daughter’s Grade five video initiative for the Canada's Classroom energy challenge. Sara and her students produces, performed and edited the final submission. Last year her class finished 2nd with a little help from the club she may be able to win the contest. You can vote once a day till the 26th of April. If you have multiple devices you can vote on each one.   5. Our Youth director extended an invitation from our Rotaract Club to attend their year end meeting and wind up party. Al Stuart and ken Sanders joined me at their party. It was a great inspirational meeting (it is incredible what those young people are able to do in a school year!!).It was a potluck dinner and Al brought a great chilli.
