Our Board met with District Governor James Ferguson and Area Governor Terri Demers, virtually, on Tuesday December 1.
The board members reported on our Club’s progress and projects this year.
Lorne gave a detailed report on the status of our Mozambique school construction projects. He discussed;
- Difficulty getting Foundation funds because they are “brick and mortar” projects;
- Our successes at Xia Xia and Pusa
- Our association with the Canadian embassy in Mozambique and our new project near Maputo
- Our progress in registering “Stephen’s Hope for Mozambique Society” as a charity
Deb Jack briefed the governors on our Community Service efforts in the face of the pandemic. We have continued to support the Mustard Seed and we are preparing and providing school lunches.
