Covid virtual meeting July 8 2020
Once again we held a virtual meeting in lieu of our pre-covid  Wednesday breakfast meeting . I counted 13 members on my laptop.
This was our first meeting under new management. President Cindy Davis chaired our meeting and did a great job.
Plans for Cindy’s changeover party are underway.
Both Jamie Pallet and Shannon Troke have qualified for a Paul Harris award and the awards will be presented at our first, in person, meeting. There are plans underway to have a “picnic style” in person meeting this summer.
About a dozen members attended pu night at the Halo restaurant on July 2nd. They reported that it was a fun evening, it was great to meet with people in person again and Dave Keam’s staff did a great job dealing with the Covid safety protocols.
Deb Jack reported that we donated $2,000 to each of the Food Bank and the Mustard seed in memory of Irene Cetinski and David Winfield. We have budgeted for donations in the next year to Mustard Seed, Christmas hamper and other recurring causes. Deb is looking for suggestions from the membership for other community causes that we could consider contributing to.
Upcoming Events:
  1. We will have a presentation from the Yellowknife Rotary Club;
  2. We are scheduling an on line presentation from Yona for August
  3. We will be inviting a speaker from the Senior Care facility industry to talk about how her facilities have been impacted her facilities and her industry
