Our speaker this week was Sheldon Oleksyn
Sheldon is with Sport Central and he gave a very interesting and informative presentation about that organisation
He told us that;
- They distribute sporting equipment (including hockey and soccer equipment and bicycles) to kids in need in Edmonton, Central and Northern Alberta and worldwide;
- They have been in operation for 26 years;
- They distributed equipment to over 8500 kids last year
- They use a means test to determine eligibility
- They ensure that they only distribute quality equipment
