The Mental Health Symposium held Feb 21st was a super success. 

Elaine accepting awards for Rotary Year 2024-2025 "The Magic of Rotary"

Today Lee Harman & Winston Conyers spoke to our club about the "Miss Vicky Challenge for Polio Plus" Our Club donated $500 to this project!

Helga & Val delivered checks to schools for their nutrition programs. 

Weyerhaeuser personnel presented a cheque to Mary Drader today - they donated $1000.00 to Rotary for their Youth Services Program. 

 

 

Weyerhaeuser personnel also presented a cheque to Jessica Doucette and Mary Drader - the donation of $1600.00 to the Brazeau Healthy Communities Coalition is for the Mental Health Symposium being held in February 2026.

Our talented Exchange Student Luise Cociancig designed and decorated this beautiful Gingerbread House.

Luise had it to display to the Seniors at the Shangri-la Lodge on December 21.  

 

At the regular Rotary meeting on December 14, 2023, President Val Thesen presented a cheque to the Drayton Valley Performing Arts Festival. Shown in the picture is Sheri Turnbull, Treasurer, and President, Theresa Default

At Rotary General Meeting on November 30, presentations were made to 5 schools in Drayton Valley and one in Breton (No picture for Breton)

 

At the November 16th evening meeting, Membership Chair, Mardi Dancey welcomed new member Ida-Marie Moltzan.

At our August 31st meeting, President Val Thesen exchanged club banners with our Exchange Student Luise Cociancig of Austria.

Luise gave us information of  her family and we all got to know her a little better.  Luise will be spending the next year with our Club.

Thanks to District Governor Brent Collingwood who attended our regular meeting on August 24th, and gave an amazing presentation on Rotary International visions, with a focus on mental health. Today we had the privilege of having a very special speaker, Ryne (eight years old - almost nine), give us an update of his

day camps he attended the last week and then told of us his future plans.  All Members enjoyed and asked

many questions.  Good job Ryne.

    

At a Rotary event on the evening of November 24, Kelly Forster and Rob Mulligan were the recipients of the 2022 Community Paul Harris Fellowship Awards. Both recipients have done so much for the community.
