Club Meeting: Chris Ritzo, Mission Hospice

Chris Ritzo has enjoyed practicing as a registered nurse for the past 30 years. She graduated from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. As a registered nurse and public health nurse, she decided to transition into visiting nursing on the back streets of Oakland. She cared for patients in their homes for 25 years from everything from birth through end of life. In 2014, Chris joined Mission Hospice and Home Care as an outreach nurse. She said “I get paid to let people know they can have control over the rest of their lives” which is something near and dear to her heart.
