The guest speaker this week is our new Lincoln East Rotary Club president, Ibukunoluwa Eunice Salami (Ibk). Ibk is a Doctoral Candidate in Engineering Education Research at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.   We are looking forward to learning more about Ibk!

We want to thank Alo Timothy for sharing his personal story including growing up in Adamawa, Nigeria and the city of Lagos.  His standard for excellence has been at the forefront of his many endeavors. 

Timothy is now a PhD graduate student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (USA), specializing in Computational Fluid Mechanics.   We wish him the very best in his PhD work at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln! 

The Indian Center Inc. executive director Wathina Porter and Josie Shea, director of operations, have been our guests and shared their passion for the community and work at the Indian Center. The Indian Center hosts numerous gatherings each week which includes educational programs, traditional ceremonies, elder lunches, celebrations and more. Meals are integral to each gathering, bringing people together in relationship and nourishing community and traditions.

We were very happy to present Wathina Porter and Josie Shea a check for $1,500.00 in support of the Indian Center's food sovereignty program for the month of September.
