David Gosselin - Environmental Studies & Earth Systems

David Gosselin, Director of Environmental Studies nd Earth Systems Scientist talked to us about "Educating for an Environmentally Sustainable Future:  Focus on the Efforts of UNL and its Environmental Studies Program."  One of the questions that Dave asked students and faculty "What is Sustainability?"  According to students it is -- Reusing, green, minimalism, global-warming, energy, future, recycling, conservation and maintain; according to faculty/staff it is -- Recycling, education, impact, reduce, reuse, recycle, balance and energy.

Keep all our Rotarians in your prayers and thoughts as we continue fight with variants from the COVID-19.
 
Even with the vaccine, we continue to keep all of our teachers, school officials, and students, EMT's and first responders, hospital doctors and nurses, supermarket clerks, restaurant workers laid off or furloughed and waiting for unemployment, all those who are currently unemployed, human service organizations who still are open to serve those poor/homeless/hungry, funeral home workers, churches, airline employees, hotel employees, gas station and convenience store workers.  
 
If you know of any of our members you would like for us to mention who are ill or need prayer, please let Greg know and we will put it in the SPOKE.
