Our outbound exchange student prepares to spend the 2012-2013 school year in Switzerland.

The Rotary Youth Exchange committee is pleased to announce that Dustin Gagnon has been chosen as our next outbound exchange student from a strong field of applicants.

Dustin is a Grade Ten student at Camrose Composite High School this year and will be away on exchange for his Grade Eleven year.

His parents are Armand Gagnon and Hali Prestage. Armand works at the Home Hardware Regional Distribution Centre in Wetaskiwin and his mother teaches basic life support for Alberta Health Services. Dustin has a younger brother Daniel and sister Katie .

Dustin is an excellent student, with marks in the top 5% of his Grade Ten class. He is involved with his church, and works part time in the kitchen at the Camrose Resort Hotel. He hopes to attend university to obtain a degree in architecture or engineering.

He will be spending the next few months learning rudimentary German, investigating what he can expect while living in Switzerland, and generally preparing for his year away.

Dustin will be attending our club meetings until he leaves on his exchange in early August 2012. Please take the time to get to know him.

The committee is confident that Dustin will be an excellent ambassador for Rotary and for Canada in his exchange year.
