Rachelle Gardner-Roe, a visual artist shared her latest work at the club meeting on Wednesday. Rachelle is such a local artist, she actually lives across the street from the Sylvester Powell, Jr. Community Center! She works with lace and fiber-inspired work combined with the very man-made material of resin. She recently participated in the Art in the Loop program, with an installation "I See You" at one of the streetcar stations. She is planning another public art piece, location to be determined, that incorporates portraits into a collage that resembles a traditional fabric design. Very impressive work!
