Erin did get to Germany in VIP style, due to her wearing her Rotary jacket she was presented a first class seat from Chicago to Germany.

Auriel leaves on Sunday, August 23rd at 3 p.m..

Brian has a bunch of great things to share with us of the goings on at the district:

The kids that go to LHS have above state standards for ACT scores--kudos to the teaching staff.

The District honors our Veterans at three of the schools, BES, LMS and LHS.

LHS Debate team came in 2nd at state.

LMS raised over $700 for Leukemia through Pennies for Patients

Elementary Schools raised over $24,000 for Jump Rope for Heart

Expanding Academic Opportunities:

Hillsdale Technical Center opens August 2015 (The District buses the students to that location)

LHS students get a laptop that is secure to be used at any location.

Skyward is up and running this year which will help with efficiency of Student Information and the business end of running the district

Challenges:

Waiting on the new finance formula proposed by the Governor

Keeping the mill rate flat for taxpayers
