26 Sep. 2026 Rotary Barbecue Sep. 26, 2026 12:00 p.m. ROTARY BARBECUE!! COME ONE, COME ALL!! Alameda Rotary Club will hold its first picnic at the pavilion in Jean Sweeney Open Space Park (1100 Atlantic Avenue) on September 26, from noon to 4pm. Our Rotary Club paid for the construction of this pavilion over a five-year period starting in 2017. It was named after Jean Sweeney, an active long-term member of the club. The club will provide hamburgers, hotdogs, and vegie burgers for barbecuing and there will be organized games for the children. Guests are asked to bring side dishes and drinks for their group. We hope to have lots of families, members bringing friends, delicious food and drink (sorry, no alcohol) and a fun time for all who attend! Space is limited so we ask you to RSVP with the number of people in your group. For now please respond to this email so we can have a ballpark idea of numbers. In a couple of weeks we'll send an official form so we can plan the food more carefully. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF THIS EVENT! Let's make it the first of many barbecues at this beautiful location!
