Christmas time is a time for giving and members of the Rotary Club of Salisbury were in that holiday spirit in recent days.
Club members donated toys for poor children through the Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots program, Here, club president Chris Peek helped move the two boxes of toys to the distribution site.
Additionally, club members donated money so the club could provide our Meals on Wheels clients with Christmas gifts.
Our non-profit charitable organization, the Rotary Club of Salisbury Foundation, Inc., benefted from the gifts of club members to the tune of nearly $7,000. This money will allow us to maintain our Rotary Scout and Community Center and to make donations to local non-profit groups that serve our community in a variety of ways.
And finally, club members stepped forward once again to help The Salvation Army raise money for its many worthwhile projects. This was done by manning the kettles at The Centre at Salisbury shopping mall between Thanksgiving and Chrismas. We have been bell ringing for at least four decades.
Not only are our club members People of Action, but they are also people with generosity.
