Long-time Rotary Club of Salisbury member and past president AB Brown has been awarded the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore's Frank H. Morris Humanitarian Award for his lifelong committment to service.
In addition to community service, AB was cited for his compassion, integrity, and leadership. A retired educator, he has dedicated decades to organizations such as the Rotary Club of Salisbury, the Wicomico County Board of Education, Salvation Army, United Way, Coastal Hospice, Chesapeake Housing Mission, the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, and Salisbury Urban Ministries. AB for decades has led the club's third grade student dictionary distribution project.
Presenting the award were Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore Chair Velda Henry, on the left, and Awards Committee member Susan Purnell, a long-time supporter of the Rotary Club of Salisbury.
AB Brown is a outstanding example of Rotary's credo of Service Above Self.
