Chris Hall, a fellow Rotarian from the Rotary Club of Wicomico County and the Vice President and Chief Business Officer with TidalHealth, told us how the TidalHealth organization developed in recent years and where it is going.
What once was Peninsula General Hospital is now TidalHealth that includes the previous McCready Hospital in Crisfield, Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford, Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, the Your Doc’s In offices, and dozens of other medical facilities and practices. Sixty five sites in all.
To help our region, TidalHealth has become a training facility for future physicians. By spending two to four or more years in further education and specialization in a medical fields, they may decide to practice here. A site accross the street from the main Salisbury facility will be developed into an apartment complex for these doctors in training.
Additionally, growth is occuring in the Millsboro, Delaware area while the former Hotel Ester location in Salisbury has become the site of the new Edward Q. Wilgus Community Clinic.
Medical care throughout Delmarva is on the move through the TidlHealth organization.
